Palm-sized 1:64 RC excavator — real die-cast alloy

TRASPED's HG4-301 is a proper miniature construction vehicle you can drive around a desk. The bucket and boom are die-cast alloy — you can feel the weight when you hold it — and the tracked base rides on articulated metal tracks that walk convincingly over a book, a mouse-pad, a bit of rough carpet. It's about the length of your palm; small enough to fit in a jacket pocket, detailed enough that you'll want to leave it out on the shelf.

270° body rotation, working boom / bucket controls

The whole upper body swings 270° on its base, so you can dig on the left and dump on the right without repositioning the tracks. Boom and bucket move independently, LED work-lights come on when you power up, and there are engine-sound effects.

Two-speed throttle + smartphone-app control

The 2.4 GHz remote has a two-speed toggle — a slow-and-precise mode for careful bucket work, and a faster mode for a quick reposition. There's also a companion smartphone app that mirrors the remote if you'd rather drive from your phone.
